The Periodic Table of Videos

In my search for uses for QR codes in the classroom, I came across this periodic table of videos. Each element has it’s own QR code that links to a YouTube video. The science nerd in me loves this!http://www.flickr.com/photos/periodicvideos/5915143448/sizes/o/in/photostream/

  1. Super cool periodic table! ‘ve found it helpful to start putting QR codes on math assignments. I use ShowMe to make a quick little 2 minute tutorial and then convert the link to a QR code. I think 98% of my class has a smartphone now so this way they are able to get help right away if I am busy with another student.

    • That is a great idea! During internship I often wished I had a “body duplicator” as a felt that there needed to be more of me to answer all the individual questions students had. Have you felt that this strategy has worked for you and your students? Are they able to get going on their own now?

      • A lot of them have…sometimes its just a confidence thing and they want to see it one more time and make sure they are on the right track. It has been most useful for students who are missing. Getting a quick tutorial on what they missed has helped them get back on the right track.
